Hectic Debrief

Todays debriefing was hectic. Thanks to Euclid, I arrived late, so I missed the beginning but they were talking about how important it is to arrive on time and what could be implemented to prevent this.
Let me put it this way, the classroom was divided into two: Diego and Alejo and the rest of the class. The rest of the class wanted to try a new method; to let the people who are late come in, but they have to sit in the outside of the circle and cant participate. Diego and Alejo didn't want to try the new rule, they wanted to stick with the rule that if one comes late, one stays out of the class.

I personally don't care which they choose,  I think none of the rules will have a great effect on people, because people are the ones that have to change, not the rules. It is all part of our commitment. I know I have been late a couple of times, but Ive never really meant it, and staying out of the classroom didn't make much difference. The only thing that really mattered to me was actually missing the morning meeting and the activities that they had done. I felt excluded. So I really don't care what they choose,  Im never really late (except for those two times).

The only thing that bothered me with this debriefing was that I felt that Diego and Alejo were getting very defensive. (I also wrote this as an advice for Diego in my evaluation way before this happened).  I mean, people can disagree but they take it so personally. We were just giving ideas, what happened to open-minded?
