Love for Euclid

Today was my very first Euclid presentation. I have to say, I was kind of shocked that I was chosen to present Euclid, since my math skills are so weak. Remember that I used to complain about Euclid? That he had to be crazy because his definitions didn’t make any sense? Well, I take that all back now! I LOVE Euclid! Last Friday we started working on his first 3 propositions and we were actually able to understand proposition 1 and 3. I was so thrilled. After that we skyped with Andrew Humphries and he helped us understand them even better.

I got to present proposition 2. We had it all planed out and it was going to be perfect. After proposition 1 was presented we realized that nobody understood. I mean the ones who presented knew all the definitions, postulates and common notions by heart and of course our classmates who we where presenting to didn’t. So we had to change all of our presenting structure. This got me kind of mad, because I really wanted it to be prefect and I had to do it a certain way so everybody could understand. At least everyone said I did a great job presenting.
