Pablito
guided todays morning meeting. He showed us a video that resembled his passion
for music. It was about this 106-year-old lady that had a passion for music.
She was in the Holocaust and survived it thanks to music.
I know the
video was supposed to represent Pablitos passion for music, but honestly, that
was the last thing I thought about. I couldn’t help imagining what that lady’s
life must have been like, and that out all of the people who went through the
Holocaust, there were just a few who really didn’t have a bad time, and most of those were musicians.
I also couldn’t help thinking that the main thing that kept this lady motivated
was music, how can something make you feel that way? At the end of the video
she mentions that she has always been optimistic and never hated because that
was the way she grew up. It makes me realize that my parents always tried to teach
me those two values as well.
