An Original Morning Meeting

Alejo guided todays morning meeting. He showed us to videos and made us do an activity. The first video he showed us was a part of Garden State in which the characters talk about how the cure for when someone feels very unoriginal; when you want to feel original make a noise or an action that probably no one has done it that exact same spot and time. By this one can really be original, its like creating history, no one else has ever done the same thing before you. After we watched the video, we all had to do a sound or a movement that was original and hadn’t ben done before in the MPC. I had a blast watching everyone make their noise and movements, but I think the prize for best action goes to Bert.

We later watched another video called Steve Jobs´ Vision of the World. I thought it was a interesting video because it talks about how one can change the world. We should take another perspective and view the world like something we can change, everything that has been made was invented by someone who is no more smarter than we are.  I thought this was the best part of the video. Most people see the world as something that we can change; we don't think ourselves and our ideas strong enough to actually make it in the world. We usually follow what everyone else does and believe that all of the innovations can only be done by a certain few. I think maybe we should all start trying to see the world as something made out of playdo that we can shape and change around, although I don't believe you can actually change everything, there are some things that come as rules (like the weather).
